Jean Marie Rooney, ABOC
Jean Marie is the Practice Manager and an American Board Certification Optician. Jean has been employed with this practice since 1992. She manages the office staff, does all the purchases of frames for the optical shop and maintains HIPAA compliance for the office and staff.
Along with learning about many new types of "digital" progressive lenses, and the improvements to the anti-reflective coatings with added "blue light" protection, she educates our patients as needed on what is best for their eyes. Getting the best fit in eyewear, correctly having the placement of segment completed for all presbyopia patients and purchasing the best lens products is her area of expertise. There are always new improvements in many lens products, just ask her.
The office has an updated telephone system to make it easier for our patients to reach the person of contact faster. Other changes include the addition of several new ipads and updated programs, which are becoming a "new normal" for this office. These additions will allow the doctors and staff to work more efficiently as this office continues to grow. The learning of many new procedure codes, pre-appointing exams, electronic billing, forwarding co-managed information and automated reminder calls or text messages, are just a few of the "new".
